Wi Fi HaLow Development Forum 2026

As IoT and edge computing applications continue to expand, connectivity needs are extending far beyond traditional industrial use cases. Today, solutions are widely adopted across agriculture, fisheries, transportation, public infrastructure, and hospitality—driving demand for more efficient, scalable, and cost-effective wireless technologies.
Wi-Fi HaLow is emerging as a strong enabler for this next phase of connectivity. Operating in the sub-GHz spectrum, it delivers extended coverage, lower power consumption, and reduced infrastructure costs while maintaining stable and reliable data transmission. These advantages make it particularly suitable for large-scale IoT deployments where conventional wireless technologies face limitations.
Globally, the Wi-Fi HaLow ecosystem is steadily evolving, with system integrators and solution providers actively validating its performance and exploring real-world deployment scenarios.
In Taiwan, collaboration between CIAT (Cloud IoT Industry Association Taiwan) and Japan’s AHPC (802.11ah Promotion Council) is accelerating technical exchange and field trials, particularly around the upcoming 850MHz band. These efforts are helping validate economically viable IoT use cases for future deployment.
A developer workshop focused on the vision and goals of Wi-Fi HaLow concluded on June 4 2026. At the event, M.gear demonstrated its continuous efforts to strengthen its RF and antenna expertise while expanding into system-level Wi-Fi HaLow solutions, including outdoor and indoor routers as well as converter devices. Through active collaboration with ecosystem partners, we aim to contribute to the development of more efficient and scalable IoT connectivity solutions.
Wi-Fi HaLow represents a key step toward more efficient, wide-area, and sustainable IoT connectivity.
